My first commissioned illustration project was a commercial branding illustrations for Cazenove Capital Management investment bank back in 2008. I was asked to draw St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
Before I got this opportunity, I wasn’t keen on drawing architectures much, I was into drawing wildlife and horses more. However, drawing the cathedral was eye opening sensation for me. I never realised how the architects calculate the shape of the building. The great architectures are not only beautiful, but also calculated very practically with how day light moves, wind direction changes in seasons, and surrounded environment. I now respect the great architects and enjoying looking and exploring historic architectures.
My the latest architecture illustration project is for Brewin Dolphin, also the investment company. I found it’s interesting how my investment sector clients like architectures!
