Deepsea: underwater world ink drawings
Deepsea ink drawings
I’m based in Scotland, where the sea is dark, cold, and endlessly captivating—a perfect setting to spark my imagination and inspire my ink drawings. The dramatic seascapes and the mysterious wildlife here provide a constant source of creative energy for my personal book illustration project.
This project is centered around a story I’m developing about a child who embarks on an incredible journey into the deepsea. Along the way, they encounter enigmatic creatures of the ocean’s depths. I’m particularly drawn to the fascinating world of giant squids, the curious lives of narwhals, and the mesmerizing migrations of whales. Living in Scotland gives me the privilege of studying unique marine creatures up close, enriching my work with authentic details.
Since this is a personal project, there’s no set timeline for completion. However, my curiosity about deep-sea wildlife grows with each passing day, fueling my passion for this story. It’s a journey of discovery, both for the child in the story and for me as an artist exploring the mysteries of the underwater world.
