My Passion for Ink illustration:

I have a deep passion for creating ink illustration, drawings not only for clients but also for my own enjoyment. I love outlining the world around me, simplifying shapes in my mind, and focusing on the most effective lines to bring them to life.
Here are some examples of ink drawings I’m particularly proud of.

Background of an award winning ink illustrator

As someone with a traditional Japanese upbringing, I practiced calligraphy from a young age. During my time at art university, I naturally began blending calligraphy techniques with sketching, developing a unique style of minimalistic line drawings. This is how an award winning illustrations are created. My lines are simple yet deliberate, calculated much like Japanese characters, while still capturing emotion and movement. This approach is particularly well-suited for dynamic subjects like wildlife, jazz scenes, and sports.

I also enjoy illustrating architecture, cityscapes, and mechanical designs such as cars and trains. My background in calligraphy helps me bring a sense of balance and precision to these man-made, well-designed subjects, creating harmony between artistry and structure.

Eri's stunning talent as a pen & ink illustrator brings the Beauty and Truth in darkness to light. I am so pleased that Eri designed both the cover and illustrations for my book 'Lucid Surrender: The Alchemy of the Soul in Lucid Dreaming' (Archive Publishing, 2021). Working with Eri was an inspiration, and I especially appreciated the care she took in melding her artistic vision with my own conceptualisations for the artwork. I also was grateful for her patience and perfectionism in realising the final illustrations. Her work shines with Quality.
